A Diwali of Pride, Purpose, and Swadeshi
Dear Friends,
I warmly extend my heartfelt wishes to you and your families for a joyful and prosperous Diwali. May this Festival of Lights fill your homes with happiness, good health, and success.
This Diwali, let us embrace the Light of ‘Swadeshi’ — the spirit of self-reliance and national pride.
As we celebrate, let us carry this light into every aspect of our lives — personal, professional, and social. As part of an institution dedicated to shaping the future not just of our nation, but of humanity, I urge each of you to consciously support Swadeshi — to choose locally produced goods and services whenever and wherever possible.
Every time we choose a “Made in India” product, we help our local artisans, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers thrive. Whether small, medium, or large, these businesses form the backbone of our economy. Our choices create jobs, strengthen communities, and extend the light of Diwali into countless homes and hearts.
India possesses an extraordinary wealth of craftsmanship, knowledge, and innovation. By prioritizing Swadeshi, we preserve our traditional skills, promote creativity, and celebrate the cultural heritage that defines us as a nation.
At DAV, we live by these very principles of excellence and self-reliance. Our goal is to nurture students who are “Made in India, Made for India, and Made to lead the World.” By choosing Indian-made products, we strengthen our resolve toward self-reliance — the truest path to honour and the respect our nation rightfully deserves. When we stand self-reliant, no external challenge can slow our nation’s progress.
This Diwali, let us resolve to explore and prefer Indian-made stationery, clothing, food, materials, and other essentials in our daily lives. Every mindful choice we make throughout the year strengthens our economy and fuels our national growth.
As we move forward together, I thank each of you for your dedicated service to DAV. May this Diwali fill your lives with light, laughter, and the proud spirit of Swadeshi.
Happy Diwali once again — and KEEP SMILING!
